The National Unity Government (NUG)
Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that the delays of the UN Security Council to protect civilians in Myanmar for over five years highlight it being far from reality on the ground in addition to its shortcomings. He added that the threat of veto power by two superpowers make the organization lack effectiveness.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation-NUG, trees were planted collectively in the areas under the control of revolutionary forces in commemoration of World Environment Day which falls on June 5.
In Thegone Township of Bago Region, Khin Win (alias) Shangyi, the junta’s administrator of Linle Village, was cleared off, according to Pyi District Battalion (1).
In Paungty Township of Bago Region, Sai Thiha, a local leader of Pyusawti Militia, died in an attempt to escape an arrest by Pyi District Battalion (1).
In Natmauk Township of Magway Region, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing via fighter jet on the monastery in Yonebingwet Village without any local battles. According to the People’s Defence Force, a monk was injured and the monastery was damaged. Reportedly, the junta army has also been invading on the ground.
