The National Unity Government (NUG)
Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG Daw Zin Mar Aung stated that the invitation of China to the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing seemed like inviting the reaction of the public and it might hurt the relations between the two countries.
In the areas under the influence of revolution forces in Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, there was an attack on junta troops. According to No. (2) Military Operation Region, 8 junta soldiers including a captain died and weapons were confiscated.
Under Ministry of Defence-NUG, the People’s Defence Forces stated that they would not allow the junta’s election in the areas of their operation.
On Wednesday, the Special Military Command of the PDFs announced that they would not let any liberated areas fall under the junta’s invasions with the excuse for the election. They added that they would prioritize public security and protection.
According to Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risks Management-NUG, the low-pressure area at the Bay of Bengal might turn into a small storm and there was the likelihood of heavy rainfall and strong winds in most parts of the country.
The Supervisor of the Special Regional Command of the PDFs stated that they would take action against any cooperation in the junta’s election.
The Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La stated that he is deeply convinced of the emergence of relevant local governments in Mandalay, Sagaing and Magway in accordance with the public’s desire.
