The National Unity Government (NUG)

-In Kawthaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, 2 soldiers from the junta’s Ka-Ma-Ya (342) defected to the People’s Defence Force.

-Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, the CSC Japan met with Naypyidaw PDF and provided support.

-According to the data from Ministry of Human Rights-NUG, the military junta has conducted 528 airstrikes following the major earthquake, killing 462 people.

-On May 31, there was a meeting between Education Committee under Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw and Ministries of the NUG for bomb shelters at schools on the ground and measures against aerial attacks.

-In Bago Region, a sergeant from the junta’s Ka-Ma-Ya (440) based in Dike-U Township defected to the PDF, bringing bullets and grenades.
