The National Unity Government (NUG)
People’s Defence Force Naypyidaw Command announced that over 40 junta soldiers including 4 officers had died due to their military operations in June.
In Minbu (Saku) Township of Magway Region, the PDF seized the junta’s U-Yin Bridge Inspection Gate on June 28.
In Tilin Township of Magway Federal Unit, Township People’s Administration provided training on local administration capacity building (1/2026).
At 10:00 am Thursday, the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration conducted a meeting (17/2026).
On Friday, (191) domestic, regional and international organizations sent an open letter to the United Nations General Assembly, calling to reject the junta’s election, not to recognize the junta’s administrative mechanism under the pretence of civilian government, and to provide more support to the NUG, ethnic revolutionary forces and civil society organizations.
The NUG gave instructions for a thorough investigation into the raid in which 5 comrades of Monywa Township People’s Security Force including their focal person Ko Arku and three people had lost their lives.
In Hsin Paungwe Township of Magway Region, there were attacks on the junta gates. Reportedly, 13 junta soldiers died, one other was caught alive and a weapon was confiscated.
