The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Magway Federal Unit Hluttaw announced that they had discussed with the Interim Government of Magway Federal Unit about future plans.

  • In Salin Township of Magway Region, a combination of People’s Defence Forces conducted a surprise attack on junta troops which had stationed in Tanyaung Village for about three months, on their way out after repairing the powerlines to the junta’s Defence Equipment Factory (21). Reportedly, some junta members lost their limbs and retreated.

  • In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, a combined force of Karen National Union and the PDFs rescued over 300 people captured by the junta army as hostages. Reportedly, they provided healthcare and said words of encouragement to the released and the displaced, according to Ministry of Health-NUG.

  • Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that Myanmar has become a happy home for transnational crimes, posing a direct threat to regional security.

  • Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun asserted that to take revenge on the women involved in the revolution, the junta’s sexual and gender-based violence has increased as a systematically-calculated weapon after the military coup in Myanmar.

  • According to Ministry of Human Rights-NUG, the focal person of human rights led educational activities for the public to protect them from the junta’s aerial assaults in Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region.
