The National Unity Government (NUG)

In Sagaing Region, battalions in Monywa District conducted a wreath-laying event in memory of the martyrs including General Aung San, who had sacrificed their lives while fighting for independence.

Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than called on the military junta to prove that State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is still alive.

In Minbu District of Magway Region, the People’s Defence Forces conducted events on the 79th Martyrs’ Day themed – ‘History never dies for every martyr’.

In Natoegyi Township of Mandalay Region, Myingyan District Battalion 4/10 conducted guerrilla attacks and drone attacks on 4 junta’s stations.

Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La stated that all the revolutionary comrades including PDF members, political prisoners in arbitrary detention including State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all those fighting the military dictatorship are live heroes or martyrs.

Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, PDFs saluted the martyrs.
