The National Unity Government (NUG) 


  • According to Sagaing Federal Unit Hluttaw, U Soe Oo was appointed as the Chief Minister of their government. Additionally, the Chief of Unit Hluttaw was approved. 

  • In the north of Pauk Township in Magway Region, the junta army has been invading the area with three troop contingents. According to the Local Humanitarian Department, over 30,000 local residents of over 40 villages have had to run away. 

  • In Tanintharyi Region, a conscripted soldier from the junta’s Ka-Ma-Ya (557), along with weapons, defected to the People’s Defence Force. 

  • In Paukkaung Township of Bago Region, the PDF attacked the junta army on mobile patrol. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and weapons were confiscated. 

  • The NUG pledged that they would keep committed to joining hands with the international community to put an end to the illegal cash flow from criminal activities to the military junta. 

  • In Magway Region, a soldier from the junta’s Ka-La-Ya (256) based in Yesagyo Township brought 2 guns and defected to the PDF.
