The National Unity Government (NUG)
-The military junta instructed Mr. Elisio do Rosario de Sousa, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Timor-Leste, to leave Myanmar no later than February 20. Regarding it, the NUG expressed their strong condemnation.
-Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG, attended Munich Security Conference held in Germany.
-In Pyi Township of Bago Region, Nga Tun, a member of the junta’s Pyusawti Militia who had been recruiting local people in Sisonegonegyi Village by force for conscription, was shot dead at a cock-fighting game.
-In Boatpyin Township of Tanintharyi Region, there was a battle between the junta army and the revolutionary forces on Thai-Myanmar border, according to People’s Defence Force.
-At 2:00 pm on Sunday, there was a meeting (1/2026) via video conferencing between the Interim Government of Sagaing Federal Unit and the People’s Administration Teams in the Unit.
-According to Ministry of Defence-NUG, the battalions and forces on the ground received bullet-proof vests and helmets bought through the campaign ‘Road to Mandalay’.
-On Sunday, there was a meeting (2/2026) between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration-NUG and People’s Administration Teams from Tanintharyi Region, Bago Region and Ayeyarwady Region.
