The National Unity Government (NUG)


-In Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region, the military junta committed a mass slaughter of 28 people. According to the NUG, the revolution forces have continued to face the junta army in Painzalote Town and local villages; Kyaunggone, Yedwingone and Karugone.

-U Nay Phone Latt, the spokesperson of the Union Prime Minister Office-NUG, stated that the perpetrators of war crimes including massacres targeting civilians should not be recognized as the official government of the country.

-On Saturday, the National Unity Consultative Council called on the Ta’ang National Liberation Army and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army to stop fighting, view the dispute as a partner conflict and resolve it peacefully in a political manner.

-Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that the scope of the man-made disaster in Myanmar, arisen out of the junta’s hunger for power, had been unbelievably massive.

Revolution Activities

-In Sagaing Region, a political prisoner lost his life in Kalay Prison due to inadequate healthcare. Reportedly, his funeral was completed on Saturday.

-In Taungoo Township of Bago Region, Brave Warriors for Myanmar conducted a rocket attack on the junta’s War Weapons Management Force (848).

-Somewhere in the northeast of Myaing Township in Magway Region, the junta army conducted an airstrike via two fighter jets.

-The UK Ambassador Eleanor Sanders stated that the election organized by Myanmar military junta was not free or fair, and that they would just keep supporting the ASEAN Five-Point Consensus.

-At the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) called for a comprehensive ban of weapons on Myanmar military junta and a presentation about the situation of human rights in Myanmar as soon as possible to the International Criminal Court.

-In Thazi of Mandalay Region, the junta soldiers entered mosques and houses to recruit conscripted soldiers.

-Under the guidance of the Communist Party of Burma, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was reformed and they organized an event on the 5th anniversary of their establishment in a liberated area on Sunday.
