The National Unity Government (NUG)
On Saturday, 20 revolution organizations including the NUG, Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw, the National Unity Consultative Council, Karen National Union, Chin National Front, Kachin Political Interim Coordination Team and Karenni National Progressive Party/ the Interim Executive Committee sent a statement to the ASEAN, calling for five points including no recognition to the junta’s election and for the release of all political prisoners.
According to Nyaung-U People’s Defence Force, they issued the points for the public to follow on NyaungU-Kyaukbadaung Road Section due to military needs.
The military junta has increased their violence against the public. According to Ministry of Human Rights-NUG, there were 187 airstrikes in September, causing a large number of casualties among the civilians.
In Magway Region, Seitoattaya PDF told local revolution forces to inform them in advance before using the road sections in the area.
In Sagaing Region, there was an attack on the junta soldiers on patrol on Monywa-Mandalay Road. Reportedly, 3 junta members died and weapons were confiscated.
Union Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG stated that the members of special intelligence force are to detect the daily lives of those leading the junta’s election.
In Sagaing Region, there was an attack via drone and heavy weapons on the junta’s Myoma Police Station. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died and a garage was damaged.
In Salin Township of Magway Region, there was an attack on Linzin Police Station. Reportedly, the revolution forces had to withdraw when only a bunker was left there due to the junta’s aerial attack.
