SHRF update details month of junta airstrikes, shelling, and drone bombings in northern Shan State

In an update released on 10 March, the Shan Human Rights Foundation (SHRF) detailed a month-long campaign of destruction in Nawgkhio, Mong Mit, and Mogok Townships. The attacks from 6 February to 7 March resulted in the deaths of 17 civilians and injured 41 more while damaging houses, Buddhist temples, a hospital and a school.

Between February 6 and March 7, 2025, SAC airstrikes, artillery and drone attacks killed 17 civilians, injured 41, and damaged 85 buildings – including 2 temples, a hospital and a school – in areas of Nawngkhio, Mong Mit and Mogok townships controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA).
