Seven killed, ten injured, four homes damaged by junta airstrike in Kyauktaw

Seven people were killed and ten others were injured, with four homes damaged, in an airstrike by the junta in Kyauktaw, 80 miles north of state capital Sittwe.


According to local residents, Air Force jets from the Myanmar junta targeted Kyung Fho village in Kyauktaw Township, Rakhine State, which is controlled by the Arakan Army.


The attack took place this morning and resulted in the deaths of seven civilians, including a five-year-old girl, injuries to ten others, and the destruction of four houses.


Information on the casualties was provided by a source close to the Arakan Army.


The victims of the bombing were identified as 5-year-old Ma Htike Htar Tazin, 54-year-old Daw Aye Kyi Ma, 68-year-old Daw Ma Mya Than, 37-year-old Daw Soe Ma Chay, 22-year-old Ma Khine Khine Aye, 42-year-old U U Than Shwe, and 53-year-old U Aung Tun Mra.
