Local resistance groups seized three junta strongpoints in Sagaing Region’s Budalin town on Sunday, according to anti-regime group Rocket Fighter, which took part in the operation.
The sites—at the township general administration office, the police station, and a private school—were attacked simultaneously early Sunday morning.
Rocket Fighter commander La Pyae told The Irrawaddy that the joint offensive was planned three months in advance. “We targeted three main locations in the town. Junta troops fled after we launched attacks.”
