Remote and inner areas of earthquake-hit Sagaing still in urgent need of aid

It has been reported that remote and inner areas of earthquake-affected Sagaing city remain in urgent need of donations and humanitarian assistance.

“Sagaing has suffered significant damage. Since the affected areas are widespread, some communities are not receiving donations,” explained a representative from the Hinthada District Social Support Network. “Because we coordinated early with residents, we were able to reach the areas in need. But most donations are only reaching visible and accessible places. Some people have lost limbs and are in difficult conditions. Many have lost their homes and are now homeless. Some have lost their spouses and family members, leaving only dependents who need help. It’s clear that the inner and fringe areas of the city are most in need. Monks and nuns in these areas are also facing hardships.”
