Public activities are being carried out in various regions and states to be awareness of including the Myanmar’s Thanakha culture in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List. The Thanakha culture will be submitted to UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage this year.
Since Thanakha is a tradition that is relevant to everyone regardless of ethnicity, religion and age, the full moon day of Myanmar month of Tabodwe is designated as Myanmar Thanakha Day every year to preserve its cultural heritage.
