The People’s Revolutionary Alliance (PRA-Magway) has claimed responsibility for killing 19 junta troops and seizing a cache of weapons and ammunition during four operations carried out in Ngape and Padan townships, Magway Region, in February and March.
The resistance group said its operations primarily targeted junta checkpoints and patrols in Ngape Township. On 25 February, PRA-Magway ambushed around 20 junta soldiers conducting a patrol near Sinkona Farm by Natne Lake, wounding four troops.
Three days later, on the morning of 28 February, PRA-Magway attacked a 60-member junta column moving from the same area, reportedly killing six soldiers and injuring four others.
