Over 900 foreigners, 3,000 computers, 20,000 mobile phones seized in Shwe Kokko, a major hub for Zha Pian online scams

Authorities arrested over 900 foreign individuals and confiscated 3,000 computers and 20,000 mobile phones in Shwe Kokko, a town close to Myawaddy on the Thai-Burma border, which is a significant center for Zha Pian online scams, according to a report from the Thai news outlet The Reporters.

During the three-day crackdown, more than 900 foreign individuals were apprehended, with the majority being citizens of China.

According to the report from BGF spokesman Lt. Colonel Nai Maung Zaw, 346 individuals were taken into custody on November 18, 264 on November 19, and over 200 on November 20.
