One civilian killed, 21 wounded, including children, in junta bombings on Kyauktaw

Reports indicate that a civilian was killed and 21 individuals, among them children, were injured due to a sequence of nighttime bombings conducted by the military council in Kyauktaw, Rakhine State, located 80 miles north of the state capital, Sittwe.

The military council launched approximately six rockets, comprising four 500-pound and 300-pound bombs, targeting Kyauktaw, the town currently governed by the Arakan Army (AA), between 2:30 am and 3 am on April 19.

The airstrike occurred roughly a week after the junta's fighter jet attacked the ward  of Kyauktaw on April 13, wounding three women and demolishing five homes.
