Officials from both governments discussing transfer of over 30 Bangladeshi fishermen held in Sittwe prison

It has been reported that officials from both governments are in talks regarding the transfer of over 30 Bangladeshi fishermen held in Sittwe prison.
According to a source affiliated with the Bangladesh Embassy, "At present, the Myanmar military government has provided a list of over 30 Bangladeshi fishermen, and officials from Bangladesh are in the process of verifying this information."
At present, Bangladesh and Myanmar are engaged in diplomatic discussions to facilitate the transfer of over 30 Bangladeshi fishermen, while Bangladesh is confirming their citizenship status.
Out of over 30 Bangladeshi fishermen, 11 were detained by the Myanmar Navy in the Rakhine Sea recently, and as many as 22 were taken into custody in October, he stated.
According to the source, following the earlier arrests, the total number of individuals taken into custody has exceeded 30.
