Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Opening Ceremony attended and opened by the President

The Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Opening Ceremony was held on the morning of April 13 at the Mayor’s Thingyan Pavilion in front of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee City Hall, and was attended and opened by President U Min Aung Hlaing.
The opening ceremony was attended by President U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife, Vice Presidents, Speakers of the Parliament, Union-level individuals, senior Tatmadaw officers, Deputy Ministers, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and departmental officials, associations from ministries, Thingyan choral dance troupes from districts and townships, famous artists and invited guests. The opening ceremony was opened by Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung, Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, Union Minister for Information, Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism and Culture and the Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw cutting ribbons.
Then, the singers sang Thingyan songs and the Thingyan choral dance troupes from the Department of Fine Arts performed a dance. Then, the President and his party sprinkled water on the staff, Thingyan choral dance troupes, artists and singers who attended the ceremony. At the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pavilion, the Myanmar Modern Music Group and nationally renowned artists and singers sang songs and performed, while the Thingyan choral dance troups from the district and township performed beautiful dances.
