Myanmar Air Force kills 143 civilians in first 40 days of Min Aung Hlaing’s ‘100-day plan’

A devastating campaign of aerial bombardments by the Myanmar Air Force has left 143 civilians dead and 264 injured across Myanmar in the first 40 days since regime leader Min Aung Hlaing announced his “100-day peace offer” on April 20, according to data compiled by DVB.

The regime in Naypyidaw has sharply intensified its operations across the country since Min Aung Hlaing, who was inaugurated Myanmar’s president by a pro-military parliament on April 10, invited resistance forces and ethnic armed organizations (EAOs)—including signatories of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA)—to engage in “dialogue” in the capital, Naypyidaw, before the end of July.

Despite the regime’s public push for talks, no resistance groups have pledged to attend.
