Muslim refugees in the Kutupalong refugee camp are demanding that authorities take action against crimes committed by members of the Muslim extremist group ARSA within the camps in Bangladesh, according to reports from Bangladeshi media.

Refugees have been seen chanting and declaring that ARSA is nothing more than a group of thieves and dacoits, stating that no one in the camp supports any youth who aligns with the group.

A local Muslim woman named Rozia, from Block C of the Kutupalong refugee camp, shared her recent ordeal: "Last night, while my family was sleeping, they came and knocked on our door, forcing their way in. I think there were about four or five men. I opened the door out of fear. They entered and asked if anyone else was in the house. I told them it was just my family, but they didn't believe me and searched everywhere. They then forcibly seized my phone."

She further explained that the terrorist group ARSA frequently conducts forced raids within the refugee camps, illegally seizing valuable items and mobile phones. Rozia added that such incidents occur often, leaving residents living in constant fear.

"They asked me where my husband was and where he had gone. I told them he went out yesterday and hadn't returned yet, but they didn't believe that either. Refugees like us face these kinds of violence and threats almost every day," she said.

Due to the lack of security for life and property within the camps, residents are earnestly requesting relevant authorities to take immediate action against ARSA’s terrorist activities and to guarantee the safety of Muslim women.

Muslim armed militant groups such as ARSA, RSO, ARA, and RIM are also frequently involved in ambushing, killing, kidnapping, and extorting civilians in Maungdaw Township, Arakan.

Additionally, according to the Bangladeshi news outlet TT News, a firefight broke out between the Muslim armed groups ARSA and ARA on May 1 at a location along the Arakan-Bangladesh border.
