Monastery in Ywa Ma Sin Bok village, Kyaukphyu, reduced to ashes by navy’s heavy artillery

The military regime, encountering defeats in the current conflict with the Arakan Army in Kyaukphyu, Rakhine State, has been indiscriminately attacking the civilian populace with heavy weapons, not even showing any regard for places of worship.

The junta navy's artillery has burnt down the monastery in Ywa Ma Sin Bok Village in Kyaukphyu Township. It is said to have demolished a school structure in another village.

On November 22, at approximately 9 am, a naval ship exploded and caught fire off the western coast of Kyaukphyu. Later that evening, a naval ship launched heavy artillery at the monastery located in Ywa Ma Sin Bok village, within the Min Raat village tract of Kyaukphyu.
