Military Council proclaims state of emergency in 15 townships under AA control

The military council has declared a state of emergency in 14 towns in Rakhine State and Paletwa township in Chin State, which is under the control of the Arakan Army (AA).
The military council proclaimed martial law, including 15 AA-occupied towns, and a state of emergency in 63 townships across nine regions and states on July 31.
Rakhine State's 14 townships under a state of emergency are Ramree, Pauktaw, Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, Gwa Myo, Maungdaw, Buthidaung, Kyauktaw, Minbya, Myebon, Mrauk-U, Thandwe, Ann, and Taungup, which are under the control of the AA.
