On October 18 and 19, the Military Commission forces also carried out two consecutive days of aerial bombings on Chaung Saung Jetty in Paletwa Township, killing a total of 9 civilians including a nursing infant and traders and severely injuring 5 others.
Currently, the Military Commission forces are launching offensives with 7 military columns from Sittwe, Kyaukphyu, Ayeyarwady, Bago, Magway, and Chin State to recapture lost townships in Arakan State. However, due to defensive counter-attacks by the Arakan Army (AA), they are suffering heavy casualties on the battlefield and retreating.
Facing military defeats, the Military Commission is relentlessly bombing non-military civilian areas and nearby villages daily, leading to rising civilian casualties in Arakan State.
