Local residents in Sittwe report that the terrorist military launched an air strike on a crowded area of the town, which remains under the control of the terrorist junta, earlier this morning.

Sittwe locals confirmed that around 7:50 AM today, the terrorist military dropped two bombs from the air onto the Shwe Nga pastry shop junction and Kathit Taw Road, located between Maw Leik Ward and Kyaung Tat Lanz Ward.

"It wasn't heavy artillery, nor was it dropped by a drone. It was dropped from an airplane. A Y-12 aircraft was hovering around, and moments later we heard the sound of bombs being dropped. People only realized it when the bombs exploded. The shrapnel from the exploded bombs wasn't from artillery shells either; it was clearly shrapnel from air-dropped bombs," a Sittwe resident confirmed.

Another Sittwe local also confirmed: "We heard the sound of an airplane circling, and shortly after, we heard the explosion of bombs dropping. It happened in a matter of moments. It was definitely not heavy artillery shells. The military did it themselves and tried to make it look like another group was responsible to create confusion. It is certain that they dropped bombs from an airplane."

Currently, local residents have confirmed the air strike on central Sittwe by the terrorist military. While they could not definitively identify the specific type of aircraft, they reiterated that the dropped munitions were not heavy artillery shells.

According to preliminary reports from locals, at least 5 local civilians including vendors selling pastries at the Shwe Nga junction were killed, and over 10 others were injured in the terrorist military's bombing raid.
