Local resistance forces claim attack on Myanmar military column, major reported among the casualties

The Yephyu People Defence Forces (YPPDF) have reported an attack on a junta column along the No. 8 Ye-Dawei Union Road in Yephyu Township, resulting in approximately 20 soldiers killed, including a major, along with the seizure of weapons and ammunition.

The attack occurred around 9 am on 24 March, between Nyin Htwe and Kauk Kanyha villages, and lasted for about two hours, according to a YPPDF information officer.

He said, “We intercepted a military column that was heading to guard the road and managed to disrupt and destroy their formation.”
