Kyaukphyu midnight air strike injures two, including 93-year-old monk

At midnight today, the junta carried out an airstrike on Kyaukphyu township in Rakhine State. A local news story claimed that the Kyauk Pyauk monastery complex was completely destroyed in the attack, which also left a 20-year-old man and a 93-year-old monk hurt.
The wounded monk is a 93-year-old man from Zai Chaung village who was residing at the monastery in order to escape the war in his hamlet, while the young man is a general laborer at the monastery.
The young man in his twenties suffered shrapnel wounds to his back, but he is not in danger, according to the monk, who was struck in the left and right forearms.
