In the ongoing conflicts with the Arakan Army (AA), a soldier who surrendered to AA said that the military council troops are using pieces of women's skirts to tie small arms and heavy weapons in combat with AA.
In the Myanmar society, it is customary practice to stay out of a fight if a piece of a woman's skirt (htamein) is tied in the weapons.
A member of the military council army, Private Nay Thura Myo, whose personal identification number is (Pa Sa /147551), informed AA of the following during a video interview with the Arakan Army on the 5th of this month.
"The military officer told us that the AA employed a type of black magic to strike the army. The AA utilized black magic that compelled the slain soldiers in the fight to consume raw meat and raw fish before retaliating against the junta army,” he said.
