Junta Destroys Homes to Build Defensive Positions in Bhamo Town

The junta has been demolishing civilian homes and yards to build defensive positions in Bhamo Town in Kachin State’s Bhamo Township, since the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) took control of neighbouring Mansi Township.

The KIA launched simultaneous operations to take control of Bhamo and Mansi towns on 4 December 2024.
