Junta airstrike damages two houses in three villages in Ponnagyun

The junta air force bombed three villages in Ponnagyun Township, Rakhine State, destroying two houses.


On the evening of December 22, jet fighters carried out bombings in the regions surrounding the villages of Sin Ingyi, Kwan Taung, and Kha Maung Taw, located in Ponnagyun Township, close to the capital city of Sittwe.


At approximately 5:40 pm, two bombs weighing 300 pounds each were released close to Sin Ingyi village. Subsequently, at around 6:18 pm, two 300-pound bombs were dropped on Kwan Taung village and Kanangkan to the west of this location. Finally, at about 7:20 pm, two more 300-pound bombs were dropped near Kha Maung Taw village.


Although there were no injuries in the incident, a bomb explosion near Kwan Taung village resulted in the destruction of two houses in the village, according to local residents.
