On February 4, the military council air force reportedly attacked the old police station and hospital in Ma-ei Town, Taungup Township, which is located in the southern region of Rakhine state, twice from the air and used machine guns.

"Jet fighters flew and dropped bombs in the afternoon, and machine guns were employed. The primary structures were somewhat damaged. They were uninhabited, so there were no casualties. They are safe," according to a source close to ULA.

A local resident of Ma-ei stated that people sought safety after the two unexpected bombings by military council jet fighters and that some civilians were hurt in the process.
