Group of Tatmadaw Hluttaw representatives nominates U Nyo Saw as Vice Preside

The meeting of the group of Tatmadaw Hluttaw representatives participating in the Presidential Electoral College was held on March 31 at the Sin Phyu Shin Hall in Nay Pyi Taw Interrogation and Accommodation Camp and U Nyo Saw, the Pyithu Hluttaw representative from Ko Ko Kyun constituency, was elected as vice president, according to the National Defence and Security Council Information Team.

The meeting was chaired by the Tatmadaw Pyithu Hluttaw representative Maj-Gen Ye Kyaw Thu, and all 166 Tatmadaw Hluttaw representatives attended the meeting. At the meeting, the Tatmadaw representative to the Pyithu Hluttaw, Maj-Gen Kyaw Thura Aye, proposed U Nyo Saw, the Pyithu Hluttaw representative of the Ko Ko Kyun constituency, as the Vice President to be elected by the Tatmadaw representatives to the Pyithu Hluttaw, and Brig-Gen Soe Nyunt, the Tatmadaw representative to the Pyithu Hluttaw, seconded the proposal.
Since there were no objections to the proposal, U Nyo Saw, the representative of the Pyithu Hluttaw from the Ko Ko Kyun constituency, was approved as the Vice President elected by the group of Tatmadaw Hluttaw representatives and the Chairman will submit the nomination to the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. Currently, the group of elected Pyithu Hluttaw representatives has elected Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as the Vice President, and the group of elected Amyotha Hluttaw representatives has elected Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye as the Vice President.
