On 10 June, the European Union (EU) and its Member States, through H.E. Ambassador Stavros Lambrinidis, Head of the EU Delegation to the United Nations in New York, delivered a statement at the UN General Assembly informal briefing by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General on Myanmar, Ms. Julie Bishop.
