Officials from the military junta convened a meeting this afternoon regarding election security in Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State, where there is significant military tension between the junta forces and the Arakan Army (AA).
As stated by the Ministry of Information, the gathering took place in the meeting hall of the state government office located in Sittwe.
The State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, the Western Region Commander Major General Kyaw Swar Oo, and military officials from the state, district, and township levels were present at the meeting, while others joined through video conferencing.

The primary subject addressed was the security of elections.
The regional commander, Major General Kyaw Swar Oo, delivered a speech regarding security matters and stressed the importance of enhancing security, as reported by the news.
