Elderly woman deceased, 2 wounded in Kyaukphyu assault by military drone

Although the military council declared a one-week ceasefire beginning April 22, an elderly woman lost her life and two men were wounded in a suicide drone strike by junta forces in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State.

The individual who passed away was Daw Ma Yin Nu, aged over 60, from Kulabar village, while she was seeking refuge as an IDP in Yenangtaung village, Kyaukphyu Township.

The military council's Dhanyawady Naval Headquarters in Kyaukphyu targeted Yenangtaung village three times with a suicide drone yesterday, April 24, at approximately 3pm.
