Narinjara News, January 17, 2026

A young person with disabilities who cannot hear or speak has been missing for over 20 days in Kyaukphyu Township, an area currently experiencing ongoing conflict.

According to a source connected to the family, the young individual, 20-year-old Maung Tin Lwin (commonly referred to as Pa Ache), is the offspring of U Tha Maung and Khin Yu May from Yenantaung Village in Kyaukphyu Township.

“He originates from Yenantaung Village in Kyaukphyu Township, but he is now living in Nay Pyi Taw Ward, Zin Chaung Village. Witnesses reported that he departed for Yenantaung South on December 24. It has been more than 20 days, and the family is very concerned because he has not been found," the source stated.

The young man is likewise unable to communicate verbally, which heightens the family's worries.

“The missing young man is not responding, and I am very worried about his safety. He is the youngest member of the family, and his sisters, Daw U Khin May, Daw Moe Thi, and Daw Saung Moe Chey, are eagerly anticipating news about him. I kindly request that anyone who locates him please provide assistance," the source pleaded.

As the conflict escalates in Kyaukphyu Township, with the Air Force of the Military Commission conducting bombings and employing heavy artillery, the family is particularly concerned about the young man who is unaccounted for.
