Danish Embassy in Yangon to close at end-2026, operations to continue until then

The Danish Embassy in Yangon will close at the end of 2026, but will continue to operate as normal until the closure, the Danish Embassy said in a statement.

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen announced on December 5 that the Danish Embassy in Myanmar in Yangon will be closed.

The closure is part of a restructuring of Danish diplomatic relations, and the closure process will be carried out systematically, and the Danish Embassy in Myanmar will continue to operate as normal until the closure, the embassy said.
