Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup

Since the 1 February 2021 coup, a total of (7,510) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians, have been killed by the junta and pro-military groups during the Spring Revolution. 


Since the coup, a total of (30,066) people have been arrested by the junta in relation to its seizure of power. (22,685) are currently in detention, (11,421) of whom are serving sentences. 


According to the latest information gathered and confirmed by AAPP, (87) people have been arrested under the Election Protection Law, among whom (54) individuals have not yet been identified. 


These are the numbers verified by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP). The actual numbers are likely much higher. We will continue to update accordingly.


According to the data collected by AAPP, from November 1 to 30, 2025, (45) people in total; (21) women and (24) men, were killed by the junta’s airstrikes across the country, including (15) children under the age of 18. These are the numbers that have been verified. Among the (45) deaths, Rakhine Region recorded the highest number of fatalities, totaling (23). During the stated period, AAPP has also received information regarding the death of  (65) civilians by airstrikes, as a result of the  junta’s attacks, whose identities have yet to be confirmed.
