China to provide necessary assistance for Myanmar elections

China is ready to provide material and technical assistance necessary for the upcoming elections in Myanmar, said H.E.Mr Deng Xijun who was from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and one of international witnesses who signed the Ntionwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA). He made the remarks at the ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the NCA held at MICC 1 in Nay Pyi Taw on October 15.

Myanmar will continue to implement the main domestic political process by the end of this year, so a peaceful and stable domestic situation is necessary. China supports Myanmar in its efforts to achieve political reconciliation and a stable political process. In addition, China will work with Myanmar to implement the important issues agreed upon by the two leaders, deepen the building of a community with a shared future, and jointly promote development, said H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun.During the signing of the NCA on November 15, 2015, H.E. Mr Deng Xijun from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China presented as an international witness.
