In Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar District, Teknaf Township, a Bangladeshi citizen was injured by gunfire from members of the Islamist terrorist militant group ARSA on January 13, according to reports in local media within the region.
The victim of the shooting by the ARSA terrorist group is Mohammad Rocky, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi citizen residing in Nayapara village near Nayapara (Mochoni) Refugee Camp No. 26 in Teknaf Township.
He was shot by ARSA terrorist militants at around 11:00 PM on the night of January 13 near Nayapara Refugee Camp No. 26. He is currently receiving treatment at the Teknaf government hospital.
The reason behind the terrorist ARSA group's shooting of him is still under investigation.
Islamist terrorist militant groups like ARSA originated and emerged from the refugee camps in Bangladesh.
They are extensively involved in recruiting new members, kidnappings, terrorist killings, and drug trafficking. In addition, they frequently infiltrate through Bangladesh into the Arakan border areas to ambush Arakan Army (AA) camps along the Arakan border, carry out terrorist killings of civilians, and conduct kidnappings.
Terrorist Muslim armed groups are conducting training camps near border guard posts in Bangladesh and committing acts of terrorism, yet the Bangladesh government has failed to take effective action against them.
