Bangladesh Border Guard Force (BGB) fostering cross-border crime: AA spokesperson
Narinjara News, September 20 , 2025,
U Khaing Thukha, the spokesperson for the Arakan Army (AA), claims that the Border Guard Force (BGB) of Bangladesh is promoting cross-border crime in order to destabilize Arakan State.
"On the other hand, the BGB is arming and training extremist Rohingya militant groups inside the refugee camps. These organizations are located close to the BGB camps and provide help in carrying out a variety of cross-border crimes, including drug trafficking, rape, murder, kidnapping, and robbery, and benefit financially from human trafficking," he stated.
Many sources claim that Bangladeshi security troops are now training and equipping militant organizations like the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and Rohingya Solidarity. The Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA) and the Rohingya Society (RSO) are two groups operating on Bangladeshi territory close to the Myanmar-Rakhine border.
