The People’s Administration Team (PAT) under the National Unity Government (NUG), which administers Depayin Township, Sagaing Region, told DVB that at least 15 civilians were injured in Satpyakyin village after five rounds of airstrikes carried out by the Myanmar Air Force on Monday.

“Luckily, nobody was reported killed but some of the injured civilians are in critical condition at the hospital,” a PAT spokesperson in Depayin told DVB on the condition of anonymity. Depayin, located 40 miles (64 km) north of the Sagaing Region capital Monywa, is under partial People’s Defense Force (PDF) control.

The PAT told DVB that four 500-pound (226 kg) bombs were dropped by the Air Force jets, which caused a fire that burned down at least six homes. Several other homes caught fire afterwards.

Over 2,000 residents from Butalin Township, located 18 miles (30 km) south of Depayin, have been displaced from their homes due to fighting between regime and resistance forces on Nov. 9.
