Myanmar’s junta has arrested seven more people, including a child, under its Election Protection Law, bringing the total number detained to nearly 100 in its widening crackdown on dissent ahead of December’s vote.
Ninety-four people—four of them teenagers—have been arrested under the law since it took effect on July 29.
The Election Protection Law punishes opponents of the poll with penalties ranging from one year in jail to the death sentence.
