Airstrike on Byar La IDP Camp in Ponnagyun Township Causes Fire, Injures 10

A military junta airstrike targeted the Byar La Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Arakan State this evening, sparking a major fire and injuring approximately 10 people, according to initial reports.

The camp is located between Yoe Ngu and Thayet Cho villages in Ponnagyun Township.

A local eyewitness told Narinjara that a military jet fighter dropped two bombs on the IDP camp at approximately 5:30 PM. Six of the victims sustained severe wounds and were rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
