Advance voting stations to open for Myanmar citizens in Thailand and Singapore


The embassies of Thailand and Singapore have announced that they will open polling stations at their respective embassies to allow Myanmar citizens in Thailand to vote in advance for the general election to be held on December 28.

The Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok will open polling stations from 9 am to 4 pm on December 6 and 7 to allow Myanmar citizens in Thailand to vote in advance.


Therefore, Myanmar citizens in Thailand who have submitted Form-15 forms to vote in advance in Bangkok can visit the embassy in person to vote in advance, according to the announcement.


Similarly, early voting for Myanmar voters in Singapore will be held at the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore from 10 a.m to 4 p.m on December 13 and 14.


Voters who have requested an early voting card by completing Form-15 can visit the embassy in person to vote early, the announcement said. The announcement also states that they are advised to bring their original and photocopies of their National Citizenship Scrutiny Card and original passports when voting early.
