Demanding the arrest of the Arakan Army's (AA) senior commanders is not conducive to coexistence and may not have a good outcome, according to AA spokesman U Khaing Thukha.
"It's not unexpected; they are carrying out their duties. However, the objectives of reconciliation, trust-building, and peaceful coexistence that we are working towards cannot be achieved by the activities of BROUK. The outcome will not be a happy sequel if this keeps up, he said.
The comments were made by U Khaing Thu Kha in response to the chairman of the Burmese Rohingya Organization UK (BROUK), who requested the Argentine Federal Court issue arrest warrants for Gen. Twan Mrat Naing, the head of the Arakan Army, Deputy Chief of Staff Dr. Nyo Tun Aung, and other AA officials.
Furthermore, he noted that Muslim armed organizations, who favor violence over coexistence, have joined the junta military and targeted the AA throughout the conflict. They are just attempting to start a fire and disrupt the human rights issues.
