The Arakan Army (AA) reported that a military airstrike involving eight aircraft targeted the historic town of Mrauk-U last night, wounding four civilians and killing three cows.

The attack lasted for over an hour, from approximately 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Six jet fighters and two Y-12 transport aircraft launched a coordinated assault, dropping more than 30 bombs.

The primary targets included the 540th Light Infantry Battalion and the 31st Police Battalion, both former bases of the Myanmar military, along with adjacent areas currently sheltering displaced populations.

Four civilians, including flood victims and internally displaced persons (IDPs), sustained moderate injuries. The bombardment also killed three cows and injured five others belonging to local residents.

In response to the incident, the AA issued a warning urging the public to remain highly vigilant against ongoing military air raids, despite the challenges of the current rainy season.
