Tatmadaw continues to strive to establish modern Tatmadaw: General Ye Win Oo

The Tatmadaw will continue to strive to establish a modern Tatmadaw with the aim of establishing the ability and capability to wage conventional warfare, said General Ye Win Oo, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services. He made the remarks at a ceremonial parade to hand over the duties of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services at the Zeya Thiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on March 30.
General Ye Win Oo said that the Tatmadaw has always considered “Our Three Main National Causes” as its national responsibility and will continue to protect and safeguard the “Our Three Main National Causes” that is the national interests of the state. In addition, the Tatmadaw will protect and safeguard the 2008 Constitution enacted by the state. According to the Constitution, it is responsible for “protecting and safeguarding the Constitution, ensuring the non-disintegration of the Union, ensuring the non-disintegration of ethnic unity and the sustainability of sovereignty, and maintaining a true and disciplined multi-party democratic system.” He said that the Tatmadaw will continue to carry out these responsibilities faithfully and diligently.

Under the leadership of the state government, responsibilities will be taken for the development of the country and to continue to walk the path of democracy that is the aspiration of the entire people and to develop the country, and full cooperation with the state government in building internal peace will be carried out, said General Ye Win Oo. He continued that the wise advice given by successive leaders of the state to “preserve the noble legacy and continue to enhance the honor of the Tatmadaw and the nation.” will be strictly followed.
He seriously emphasized that the good historical traditions of the Tatmadaw will be maintained striving to build a Tatmadaw that the state can rely on and the people can rely on.
In addition, he said that he is very grateful to the Tatmadaw senior officers who entrusted me with this responsibility as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, and will do the best to serve the interests of the state and the Tatmadaw with all his strength and intelligence, to be worthy of the trust of the superiors. Currently, General Ye Win Oo will serve as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, General Kyaw Swar Lin as the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, and Lieutenant General Ko Ko Oo as the Chief of the General Staff( Army, Navy, Air).
