The National Unity Government (NUG)


· According to Indaw Township People’s Defence Force in Sagaing Region, all the road sections including Indaw-Banmauk Strategic Road will be indefinitely closed from Monday on due to the military situation.


· Along with weapons, 5 conscripted soldiers ran away from the battlefield near Natyekan Strategic Camp, where the junta army has had heavy losses. Reportedly, they defected to No. (2) Minbu District Regiment.


· Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than stated that recognizing the junta’s election is supporting their war crimes against Myanmar people.


· U Nay Phone Latt, the spokesperson of the Union Prime Minister Office-NUG, asserted that the military junta had unjustly detained elected-government leaders including President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and their arrests and trials were not legitimate at all.


· The State and Federal Hluttaws as well as committees representing them sent a statement, calling on democratic nations to take effective action against the military junta in accordance with “From Voice to Action”, the motto of International Day of Democracy 2025.


· In the event commemorating International Day of Democracy on Monday, Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La stated that the NUG condemns and objects to any political tricks which deceive the public.
